On Monday the 12th June - Tuesday 13th June Sheila Dickinson attempted to break the Guinness Book of World record for the longest T'ai Chi Marathon.
The record stood at 26hours and was held by an Australian Michael Van Zweeden.
Sheila Dickinson broke the record on Tuesday the 13th June 2017 after completing 28 hours 59 minutes.
The record was verified by the Guinness Book of World Records on Friday the 8th of June 2018.
The LFA raised over £6,000 for the Alzheimers Society. This is a charity close to Sheila's heart. Sheila's father suffered from Alzheimers until he sadly died in March this year.
The LFA will be back in St. Stephens on Saturday the 18th of August to present a cheque to the Alzheimers Society. We will also be holding demonstrations of T'ai Chi throughout the day. People will be on hand to talk about the amazing health benefits to be gained from practising T'ai Chi.
Here are a few of the images taken by students throughout the event.
A big thank you to my support team, my husband Malcolm. Who not only supported me throughout the whole event, they collected donations from students in our classes and donations during the event.
